Teresa - Member of the Month!

Member of the Month - Meet Teresa!
    By Tracy Topps

Teresa (MiniMadWoman) has been a member of the Greenleaf Miniature Community since July 12, 2005.  She is a Senior Member and has 3,424 posts that shows her warm & friendly personality. She is always so eager to share her wonderful talent with anyone who has a willing ear (Or should we say eye).

Teresa got bit by the miniature bug right in her own neighborhood on one summer morning in 2005. She woke up one sunny summer morning in 2005, looked out the window to see a dollhouse sitting on her neighbor's curb on garbage day. She could not believe her eyes when she found out later on that she actually had a Beacon Hill dollhouse. She spent the summer refurbishing the house. This house is home to 'Mr. and Mrs. Pennethorne'. In the Summer of 2006, Teresa started more renovations on this house by adding a conservatory.

In the winter of 2005, Teresa won 1st place in the Greenleaf Winter contest. The title of her entry was called "Forestgate Cottage". This house was a bashed Haunted house kit by Greenleaf.  "Forestgate Cottage” is the home of Wilbur (Willy) and Mildred (Milly) Claus and their dog ‘Horatio’. Wilbur is a distant cousin of S. Claus.

One thing I know for sure is that if you look at Teresa’s Gallery and blogs, you will be in for a real treat because there is so much eye candy.

Teresa and her husband Brian made their home here in Wisconsin when they decided to move here from Canada. They share their home with their family of both fur & feathered kids. When you look in her galleries, you are bound to see one of them in the any album of hers.

Teresa loves stained glass art, swimming and gardening. She also volunteers as a “Big Sister” and shares her heart with a little girl name Aleah. Aleah has not shown a huge interest in this hobby yet, but she told me that she admires Teresa’s many talents. Teresa is also a known “folk art” painter and also taught people how they too could decorate wonderful items by painting them using her techniques.

Teresa is always sharing something new that she herself was able to learn. She has been a participant of the Orchid Community Build Team and she has participated in a couple of the Community Swaps and in every contest that we have held on the Greenleaf forum since she has been a member. It’s so much fun to know that she joins in and have fun with the rest of the community. This is one of the things that has made her a valuable and loved member.

Teresa is also the person who usually brings us the “Member Of The Month”. This month, she was not able to do this because she has been having “real life” issues with her health & has been dealing with the loss of a beloved pet bird named “Kiwi”.

We wanted to feature Teresa because of all of the wonderful things she has done for the community. As our ‘Featured Member of the Month’, Teresa will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the ‘Greenleaf Store’.  Congratulations, Teresa!
