    Fabulous Finishing Touches
    January 2010

    Dear Miniature Enthusiast,

Happy New Year! Isn’t it wonderful to have a fresh new year stretched out in front of you with all its potential for new and exciting adventures! I don’t usually make new year’s resolutions but this year I made a promise to myself to build more dollhouses and try new techniques on each one. I think the Greenleaf line of new laser cut dollhouses was my motivation for that resolution! They have so much potential that they have me excited about trying things I’ve never done before. It’s going to be a great year!

This month we’re going to start the new year in reverse by looking at some fabulous finishing touches for your dollhouse. Gina joins us with some great ideas for landscaping and layouts while Corwin shares his favorite way of creating the perfect coordinating drapes for every room. We’ll also take a look at how to make a stone fireplace coordinate with your wallpaper for an extra special finishing touch to any room.

Landscaping is so popular that it's one of the most asked about questions in the miniature hobby. But you don't need unlimited space and money to give your dollhouse the added realism of a pretty garden or yard. I will give you some great cost effective landscaping ideas to enhance your dollhouses exterior.
